This short mini-documentary features a variety of female porn directors talking about their work and why it’s important for women to “take the reins of production” and to make pornography that includes a female perspective.
The doco features clips of female porn directors: Candida Royalle, Nina Hartley, Shine Louise Houston, Ms. Naughty, Ovidie, Tristan Taormino, Jennifer Lyon Bell and Erika Lust, among others. Many of these directors say they make feminist porn and identify as feminists.
The various clips were shot at porn film festivals and feminist porn awards and conferences.
